Statement of Diversity and Inclusion

The Canadian Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine Association (CUHMA) is dedicated to upholding Canadian values and the principles and basic fundamental rights of all individuals. As a medical organization, we are first and foremost bound by the principles of medical ethics: autonomy,  justice, beneficence, and non-maleficence. In addition, we strive to meet the guiding principles of ‘DIVE’  in all activities: diversity, inclusivity, individual vision, and equity. 

We recognize the diverse backgrounds of our members. Collaboration with all of the varied medical and diving communities is paramount to the creation of best practice safety and delivery of hyperbaric and undersea medicine in Canada. We aim to support and encourage the DIVE guiding principles in all Canadian hyperbaric medicine and diving  operations.

CUHMA endeavors to support all medical professionals, patients, divers, and support teams. All voices are important. All voices are welcome.
